Cranberry
West. A Great Place to Live. Just Ask
Us. We’ll Tell You.
Cranberry West is neighborhood of single family detached homes located
near the heart of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The plan
is
comprised of 101 units, a playground for children, a newly resurfaced
play court for tennis and basketball lovers, a ball field with
backstop, and a wide open field perfect for pick-up football or
chipping practice.
The
residents of Cranberry West are proud of their community. The
Plan has attracted and continues to attract educated, hard-working, and
family-oriented professionals, the vast majority of who have daily
business connections to downtown Pittsburgh and the South Western
Pennsylvania sales region.
Approachable, accommodating, the residents of Cranberry West enjoy
success and their suburban lifestyle, and yet are still best described
as down-to-earth. “You can live here and not feel
like
you’re in a mad scramble to keep up with the
Joneses,” said
one resident recently to the Board of Directors. The
homeowners
have enjoyed impressive property value increases at a steady pace for
many years.
And so we invite you to browse this web-site and revisit often as it
develops over time. By browsing you’ll discover
more about Cranberry
West -- its members, its commitments -- and how to contact the Board of
Directors. The links section will connect you to the Township
of
Cranberry, the County of Butler, the City of Pittsburgh, the State of
Pennsylvania, the Rose E. Schneider South West Butler YMCA, and the
Seneca Valley School System. Please note, Haine Elementary
School
(grades K-6) is just a five minute drive from us.
Enjoy! And
come back soon!
Cranberry West was organized by Covenant with
By-Laws as
a Planned Unit Development in 1998 and is represented by a dedicated
five-member Board of Directors in the positions of President,
Vice-President, Activities Director, Secretary and Treasurer.
Together, the Board of Directors dutifully carries out the dictations
of the Covenant. And with a true commitment to maintenance
and
improvement, the Board of Directors ensures the upkeep of the common
areas with a mix of professional contractors and community volunteers.
Cranberry Township itself is a true suburban success story.
Once
known as Criders Corner, Cranberry Township is located about 20 miles
north of metropolitan Pittsburgh and grew up from the farm lands around
the intersections of State Route 19, Interstate Route 79 and the
Pennsylvania Turnpike. This is its Hallmark
history.
Native Americans once used the area as a crossroads so that East-West
travelers could turn North and head toward Lake Erie or turn South
toward the confluence of the three rivers -- the Allegheny, the
Monongahela, and the Ohio—which is, of course, now the City
of
Pittsburgh. Later, Criders Corner would serve as an important
stop on the Harmony Line Railroad. In the past 20 years the
area
has enjoyed massive growth in the form of housing, restaurants, and
shopping centers, and continues to grow to this day. Using
the
highways, Cranberry residents can travel to downtown Pittsburgh in
under 30 minutes and the Pittsburgh Greater International Airport in
under 45 minutes.
Sincerely,
The Board of
Directors
